Catching up

Wow time has flown and its been a couple of week singe i updated the blog, sorry about that, here is the last couple of weeks news!

over the last few little hearts and crafts we have made picture frames, some funky pens, calendars, decorated marie biscuits (sorry i forgot my camera on that day) and we planted little pot plants for spring!

Puzzles

Yay for puzzles and balloons!

This week we crafted puzzles which was an awesome skill for them to learn. We coloured in one side and had a puzzle template on the other side that we cut out once we were done colouring.

I also found some heart shaped balloons that went down a treat! i blew one up as a demonstration and it popped in my face! After that the kids were very weary about how big their balloons got. We drew our names on the balloons and watched them get bigger and bigger as we blew the balloons up.

Only 4 weeks left in the term - Its crazy how fast it goes. Don't forget to book your space in the Holiday club if you are keen :)

Butterflies

This week we made butterflies, the class was really small. I think there have been a few sick bugs that have been going around. That's not good. I hope all the other little hearts are up and better soon.

Even though there were just a few of us we had a good time non the less. I was told all about Ice Age 3 and how awesome it is! I have also been really impressed and surprised at the level of creativity these kids have.

We are already half way through the term. I will be running a Holiday Club during the holidays if you are interested. i will send out mare details closer to the time :)

Noodle Necklaces

This week we nearly didn't have a blog because my battery in my camera died, but a secret helper friend came and saved the day with batteries and amazing photographer skills!

We made some noodle and bead necklaces and the kids actually caught me by surprise with their creativity. they decided to make bead rings which i had never done before but we worked it out and they were a hit!

We had and awesome time, beads are so clean to work with, no one was full of glitter or glue! Although i think thats half the fun isn't it?

Calendars

On Friday we made calendars!

What fun we all had making our August calendars to stick on the fridge. We had glitter and foam stickers and all sorts of creative fun. I have heard reports that some of these calendars have even been used as star charts for good behaviour :)

I love in the first pic above that if you look carefully her calendar is upside down.

This week we will be making noodle and bead necklaces! I'm so looking forward to it. See you there :)

Binoculars!

Binoculars!

This week we had some creative fun making binoculars... We first decorated a piece of paper cut to size and then wrapped it around 2 toilet rolls and tied some ribbon on to put it around our necks.

When i pulled out the 'CARS' stickers one of the kids pretended to faint with excitement!

The kids became explorers and adventurers, there was even a make-believe T-Rex at one point that they were looking for with the binoculars and running from, screaming of course!

There was glitter glue and glue everywhere. A bit messy but a whole bunch of fun!
